20/20

After many years of wanting to get Lasik, I (Dave) finally got it done on Thursday. All I can say is that I don't know why I waited so long!!! However, I have to admit that I'm glad I had my eyes done with a laser and not the knife they used 5-6 years ago. I've been wearing glasses or contacts since I was 9 years old, so I'm grateful to put all of that to rest for awhile.....until old age gets me. I had to make a promise to Kerry that she could get her eyes done once she's done breastfeeding. But in the meantime, I get to gloat about my perfect 20/20 vision.

Bumbo

One of the best things we've bought for Lacey is the bumbo. Not familiar with it? Neither were we as it's fairly new. Anyways, you'll see by the pictures the purpose of the Bumbo. Lacey loves hers. She likes to see what we're doing and now we all eat dinner together at the kitchen table with Lacey in her bumbo, watching us eat. We now get to eat without a crying baby in the background.

Life is Good...

Well, it was an unusual first Mother's Day for Kerry, but was the start of a very fun week for our family! We decided to take our first "family vacation" since Lacey was born. We left early on the morning of Mother's Day and drove to Hilton Head in South Carolina. We spent 5 nights on the island and had a fantastic time! We took a couple day-trips to Savannah, Georgia and to Beaufort, SC and relaxed around the island. We had perfect weather and loved being outside. We checked out of our hotel on Friday, May 18th and drove to Charleston where we spent the day and night and then on to Richmond, VA the next day where we visited one of Kerry's good high school friends and one of Dave's good college friends. Lacey traveled wonderfully well, which made us VERY happy (since all of you know how much her parents love to travel)!
