BYU Surprise!

Since Dave stayed home with the other three kids while I took Lacey out to school and got her all settled in, he decided he would fly out there in the Fall at some point to visit her.  So, last weekend he flew out there..... and decided to keep it a surprise!  The ruse was that my parents would pick her up and take her to lunch, and then Dave would be there at the restaurant waiting for her.  Here is her face when she first saw her Dad.

And the ensuing embrace.
She was SO happy to see him!!

That night, Dave met up with our good friends the Days.

And went to the BYU vs University of Utah football game with them!
He couldn't wait to sink his teeth into a Cougar Tail!

And the Cougs won!!!  One of only 6 college teams that are still undefeated!

So they of course had to storm the field!

Those are all the pictures I ended up getting from him, but he had a great four days out there, spending lots of time with Lacey and visiting friends and family. Lots of hikes, meals out and spending time with some of his favorite people. 💙

Outstanding Ospreys!

Ella's Middle School basketball team went undefeated this season, so they made it to the championship game.  Here they are huddled before playing together one last time.

Let's go!

Point guard Ella making her way down the court.

Going up for the shot!

Air Ella!

A decisive victory to end the season!

The inaugural SPMS basketball team was a talented and special group.
Go Ospreys!

Ella was so happy she got to play with her good friend, Rachel.  They were two of only three 7th graders that made the team.

Homecoming Part Two

Last weekend was our (SPHS's) Homecoming, which Tanner went to with a bunch of his buddies because SPHS does not allow any students to bring any outside friends/dates.  However, Tanner has a girlfriend, Isabella, who goes to Chesapeake High School and their Homecoming was last night and they were allowed to bring outside dates/friends, so Tanner accompanied Isabella to her Senior High School Homecoming.

We went to Downs Park for pictures, which was pretty, but very windy!

And one of me with my boy!

Riley's Game Face

Here are a few of the professional picture's we just got back of Riley on her SPHS JV Soccer team.

My gorgeous goalie.

They have just one week left and then on to the County Championship and the end of season banquet. It's been such a fun couple of months and a great way to make friends and feel part of her high school her freshman year!

Benson Boone

One of Lacey's favorite singers is Benson Boone.  When she saw he was coming to concert in Baltimore, she was so excited..... until she saw that his scheduled date was for the week after she left for college!  However, in looking at the rest of his tour dates, she noticed he'd be in SLC the beginning of October.  Knowing that she didn't have any friends (yet) or a car, she knew this would be a challenge but she made it her mission to figure it out!  As luck would have it, she ended up with a roommate who 1) liked Benson Boone and was willing to go with her and 2) had a car!  So.... this past week, the two of them, made their was, Crumble Cookies in hand, to Benson Boone!

She even made a poster of his face 🤣

In their seats and ready to rock!

They stayed after the concert in a line until 1am when Benson Boone came out and gave them a high five.  It made their night!
Lacey was a little bit sad that he was taking selfies and signing autographs and she was so excited to get her homemade poster of him signed..... and then with just 10 people in front of her, one of his handlers came out and got him and told him it was time to go.  But he still ran down the rest of the line giving high fives and handshakes, so that still brought a big smile to her face!

Love seeing my girl making new friends and creating fun college memories!
