Ted Turner passed away today at the Age of 87. He is best known as the founder of CNN and a Television News pioneer. He's also known as an entrepreneur, billionaire and philanthropist. He was married to Jane Fonda for 10 years and owned the Atlanta Braves as well as other Atlanta -based sports teams. He also founded Ted's Montana Grill. And one afternoon, in 2010, Dave and I found ourselves in Atlanta for 24 hours after missing our connecting flight to Ecuador en route to the Galapagos Islands. We were walking by Ted's Montana Grill, when who should be walking by...... but Ted Turner himself! He initiated a conversation with us and invited us into his restaurant. We had a delightful lunch there, a nice conversation and snapped a couple pics. He was gracious and kind and warm and made for a fun Atlanta memory!
RIP Ted Turner.
